This project focused on the use of Typography Digital Media Concepts, while also revisiting a familiar project from the past. In this project, we used our nursery rhyme from Project 1 to create a “tetris-like” illustration of how words could fit on a canvas. At first glance, this seemed like a very challenging project, however I messed around with the canva sizes, font size, and font style, to reassure that I was getting the best out of every scenario. To sum it all up, this project has definitely given me a new look towards how words can be implemented in an artistic way, and I’m glad we were able to shed light on this topic.

This project represents an embellishment of how images can be represented in DMA. This picture in particular represents the metaphor “Life’s a Movie” where a guy kicking back and watching a highlight in his life through a movie screen portrayed by a picture frame, surrounded a pattern of a movie logo and hearts with an ECG graph on it. Making this project was a little easier than the previous ones, and I enjoyed the outcome of it since we had access to the use of plugins that made the images come out more clear, which help meet certain expectations. I also had some help from the proctor as well which definitely assisted me in the project as well, and overall I feel like the message was portrayed very well, and I believe that people will agree that the metaphor fits the picture.

This project was definitely something new. I did enjoy the use of gradients and radial color schemes, be able to make certain shapes look more than what they seemed to be using the color effects. I did also enjoy working with a triadic and an analogous warm color scheme because it was a great way of reassessing my knowledge of colors, and being able to implement them in a creative manner. This project definitely most definitely took some time and I did struggle a lot on it, however in the end, it was pretty fun and I am somewhat happy about how it turned out, considering this isn’t necessarily my stronger suite.

I’m not going to lie, this was very challenging for me, however I did enjoy the project. I enjoyed the idea of Gestalt, and the way of how we could make such a simple nursery rhyme something so fascinating using gestalt principles and it was pretty exciting to see how far I could get by just using shapes alone. I did struggle to find ideas on how I could continue on with the project, hence why it took so long to complete it, however, it was a huge learning experience and I am confident that I can take what I learned from this project and future classes, and apply it to the next class projects. Being able to adjust to figma was a fun experience, and I am also looking forward to dealing with other applications such as adobe photoshop for future projects as well.
