1. What did you learn?

In our final project, we learned about Augmented Reality using Figma to create an app of our choosing. As part of the project, we had to come up with a pitch of what we were going to design in our AR app and how many Flows we had to use.

2. What was easy?

Some of it was easy. For my AR app, I did ConnectLife Organ – Blood Donation serving Western and Central New York. The easy part was to take video of myself entering the facility, signing in, going to a cubicle, registering, questionnaire, physical, etc.

3. What was challenging?

The challenging part of the project was organizing the flow and putting the arrows to the appropriate frames. Another challenging part was when playing the flows, it didn’t turn out the way I expected to be and that created a lot of frustration and anger.

4. How could your submission be improved?

To take better videos and pictures and not make the video file pass 50mbs.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

How could it be improved for the next class is with a little bit more clarity.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I would look back at the powerpoint presentations, class videos and relearn how I can make the project better.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

What helped me was when Professor Dunkle showed everyone Adobe Premiere Pro to shorten your videos if it went pass 50mbs.

Project 2 – Web Design Reflection – 11/1/2022 ../../../2022/11/01/project-2-web-design-reflection-11-1-2022/ Tue, 01 Nov 2022 13:21:42 +0000 https://comdma.com/schnei28/?p=83 1. What did you learn?

In this second project, we learned how to create a mobile and desktop website using Figma. We also learned how to create swatches using a plugin to pick which colors we want for our background, using typography to create two headings with a different text font, and create a form for the placeholder for your name and for the comments section.

2. What was easy?

Some of this project was easy. I enjoyed learning about using the CodePen website to see how my website looked like by putting in codes. It was really interesting and informative.

3. What was challenging?

The challenging part was trying to fix the footer on both the Mobile Navigation and the Desktop Navigation when it came time to put the arrows to prototyping. As I was prototyping and scrolling on both the About (Mobile) and Resume (Desktop) the footer kept scrolling up.

4. How could your submission be improved?

I would put more pictures in my portfolio to make it more appealing to my target audience.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

I would go a bit slower because there times I was trying to stay the course with everyone but, it was difficult to catch up.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I would look back on the notes and the class videos to make sure I didn’t miss a step and maybe make a new mobile and desktop websites.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

The CodePen Lab was a bit helpful because I was seeing how my website would look like with using codes.

Project 1 Reflection -9/27/2022 ../../../2022/09/27/project-1-reflection-9-27-2022/ Tue, 27 Sep 2022 13:11:14 +0000 https://comdma.com/schnei28/?p=79 1. What did you learn?

For this first project of the semester, we learned how to create and run a prototype for a todo app using Figma and how you would you use your app. Also, we learned how to created a Button Label so when it came to prototyping the app, we can click or press on the button to go to the next slide or screen on the app we are designing. We also used icons for logins such as Facebook or Google and using their logo and used several icons by using Iconify in the Plugins section of Figma. We also used a website called Maze to prototype out our app and have other students, family members, and friends test it out too to see the results if they thought it was easy or difficult.

2. What was easy?

The project was a bit easy because you are basically storyboarding on what your app will be and it’ll be either for your health, sports, groceries, anything you want for your app to be.

3. What was challenging?

The most challenging part of this project was putting and dragging the noodles to the slides to where you wanted to go in your app. When it came to prototyping, it was stressful because as you were seeing if it works to your advantage, I was frustrated that I missed something and had to go back and figure out what I did wrong so I don’t make the mistake again and putting the noodles or arrows to the right place.

4. How could your submission be improved?

I could’ve maybe put more pictures or add some animations to make the app look more fun and appealing to my target audience instead of looking dull and not appealing.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

Give more clarification on the project. I was a little confused but, I was starting to get the hang of the project but maybe some more clarity would have been good too.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I would like to present this to my family because I would like to show them how I designed the app and how it functions and hopefully use it down the road for their own benefit.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

Just watching Professor Dunkle showing on creating the button label and how you can use the Alt. key to just copy it over to the next slide of section of the app and putting the arrows to show where it goes next.
