2. What was easy? This project was in no way easy. I knew I wanted to do anxiety, but deciding what pictures and videos would portray that and if others would understand where I was getting at wasn’t easy.

3. What was challenging? This project was very challenging. My biggest fear happened which was showing my boyfriend my video and he didn’t understand how some of what I put in there portrayed anxiety. But in the end, it made sense to me, which is all I care about.

4. How could your submission be improved? I think it could be improved by making my ending (the words anxiety) fit the screen better.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class? The professor did everything possible to help me, it was the computer system that failed us.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? I will defiantly be using Garage Band again, that was very helpful to learn. Also learning the different forms of Adobe was extremely helpful and I know ill be using those in the future.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? As weird as it sounds, I saw someone clap chalk board erasers and that sparked my interest. I already knew I wanted to do my project on anxiety because I deal with everyday. But seeing the chalk board erasers clap made me think of a “snap out of it” moment. Which is something I try and tell myself when I get too far into my anxiety thoughts.

2: This was the hardest project yet in my opinion. When ever I would go to do something to my figure like stretch out one of the points, it would completely change, little slow movements were key.

3: The most challenging part was when I would move one point, then rotate the object and see that from the back it looked totally different. There were so many points that I lost control of how many there were and which one was which. I also had a hard time getting rendered pictures of my piece. Maya froze for 30min so I took a screen shot. I eventually force closed it and my work was gone, so I was not able to get the three rendered photos.

4: My submission could be improved by having more/ better rendered photos of my work. Also, making my points look more neat.

5: Everything the professor did was helpful, maybe giving us more time would be the only thing I could think of.

6: Even having the most basic knowledge of Maya that I do I think will be very helpful if I ever need to use Maya again. I also think that me learning that small slow movements work the best will carry through in different aspects of DMA.

7: Having professor Dunkles sample of his chess piece remove another gave me inspiration to make one that did the same, but in a different way.

1. What did you learn?

From this assignment I learned how to make a business card and how to manipulate letters with their vector lines. Figma was also new to me and learning how to play around with it was very fun.

2. What was easy?

I thought it was easy to physically make the business card and add the monogram and my information. I also thought that it was easy to transfer the monogram to the business card.

3. What was challenging?

Something I found challenging was making the monogram. Changing the vector points on the letters was challenging because every little move you made impacted the letter. I also thought it was challenging to center my monogram on the business card.

4. How could your submission be improved?

I think my business card could be improved by figuring out how to center my monogram better. According to Figma my shape around the monogram is center but I still think the symmetry looks off.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

I think everything was explained very well and I feel like we had enough time. Maybe more critique from the class.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I will be making a business card in the future so this helps a lot. Also, now knowing how to use Figma and adding that as another website I can use for design is very helpful for the future.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

There is a monogram at the gym I go to and the letter are stacked on top of each other and that’s where I got my inspiration.
