1. What did you learn? I learned how to create things like components as well as group things in Figma.
2. What was easy? The easiest part was picking fonts and styles that fit together.
3. What was challenging? The most challenging parts were picking layouts as well as a color scheme that was legible.
4. How could your submission be improved? My submission could’ve been better if the colors were easier on the eyes.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? I think the whole component function is very helpful especially in creating buttons for apps, it seems to make everything easier.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? The recorded video lectures were a great help in being able to understand the material.

On each stamp the location, which is the country of Vietnam, and its’ currency called “đồng” (6000₫), are displayed.

• I learned about complimentary type faces and fonts in depth and furthered my understanding of the two. The easiest part of the project was finding the images that relate to the culture, the most challenging part was trying to find fonts that might go well together. My submission might be improved if I chose different colors for the fonts. I don’t think there is any need for the assignment itself to be improved upon anymore. I think this project will definitely help me be more conscious of making my font look better and more together on future projects. The “type in design” slides helped me because they detailed just exactly how type can look better by being mindful of things like alignment, spacing, and measure.
• In my first two type faces I tried to emphasize bold vs. thin font and I wanted it to look more modern, and in the second two I wanted to focus on a more classic style.

• I learned how to use more tools in photoshop in a more efficient way. The easiest part was implementing the pattern by using a plugin. The hardest part was finding the images that I would use and making sure they would fit together. My submission could be improved if the patterns were more spaced out. The assignment doesn’t need much to improve upon. I will definitely apply what I learned about creating vector masks in photoshop to future assignments. I think examples from the other students as well as the lectures helped the most.

One thing I learned while doing this project is how to utilize plugins. The easiest part was finding color schemes, and the most challenging part was applying those color schemes to a certain theme. My submission could be improved if I added more details to certain areas. The assignment could be improved if maybe there were more themes to choose from. I could definitely apply the knowledge of the different kinds of fills (such as a linear or radial fill) to future art projects. The article “Color Theory for Designers, Part 3: How To Create Your Own Color Schemes” was helpful in understanding what colors look better together.
