What was easy? Importing the clips from my phone to Premiere was relatively easy.

What was challenging? Making my own soundtrack was difficult because I’ve never done anything like that before.

How could your submission be improved? I could have spent more time perfecting my soundtrack to exactly what I wanted in terms of relating to my emotion.

How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class? Even though After Effects wasn’t the main focus of the project, it would be nice to learn more about all the different things we can do with the program.

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? I hope to work more with Adobe Premiere in my future career, so this project helped a ton in getting familiar with the program.

How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? Looking through past projects from other students helped inspire me and aid in the creation of my own work.

What was easy? It was easy to change the material of certain objects, walls, and floors.

What was challenging? It was challenging to apply a custom texture to walls without it having a repeating pattern.

How could your submission be improved? My submission could be improved by adding more creative elements instead of using the props that were already given to us in the program.

How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class? Everything went well with the project and he learned new things with us.

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? Using Maya and Unreal was interesting and I can see myself using these programs in the future for content creation.

How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? Watching gameplay of other games made in Unreal helped spark inspiration and creativity for my own work/project.

What was easy? Placing images into different frames and finding what fonts and colors I liked was easy.

What was challenging? Figuring out how the prototype tab worked was challenging at first.

How could your submission be improved? I could have spent more time perfecting spacing in between photos and texts.

How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class? Even though this is not a typography course, Professor Dunkle could have spent a little more time on exploring different fonts.

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? For my preferred career, there will come a time where I will need to know how to navigate and even create a website, so this was an extremely insightful project.

How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? Researching different websites and studying how they were laid out greatly helped in starting my project.

What was easy? It was easy to download and place images off the internet onto the card.

What was challenging? Typography and using the path tool was challenging.

How could your submission be improved? I could’ve cut the edges of the printed card more precise.

How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class? Maybe showing what a completed card looked like before heading into the assignment would give us an idea of how the final product should look.

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? I can use what we learned in project 1 towards improving my skills in these programs for upcoming assignments.

How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? To come up with the inside of my card, I read about different versions of the saying, “roses are red, violets are blue,” which helped me come up with the second part of the saying.
