The Bridgetimes Project (DMA 370) was absolutely my favorite I've done in the DMA program so far.
I personally feel as though the data set is very relevant and useful to a lot of people, as commuting is no uncommon thing.
Like the other apps that I have designed throughout this course, simplicity was my main focus.
Whenever I look at apps that I use, I judge based on how cluttery they may be.
I let it guide how I design my apps, and I feel as though that's not such a bad thing.
What I'll be taking away from this project is that I learned the fundamentals to color schemes within UI design.
I was really determined to use the basic color scheme of green-good/yellow-ok/red-bad somewhere within the app.
Originally, I used it as a text color, but that just looked ugly.
I changed it to be the background color, with a desaturated background and was really content with how it looked.
Below will be pictures of another example, where colors just didn't fit in place.
I really feel as though the perfect balance between monochromatic design with one or two colors works really well.
I'm really happy overall with how this app came out.
It's a simple little app to tell what the bridge delays are.
I also tried implementing a phone picture + different color scheme ideas for the web page.
Comparing it to the first two projects, this one is my most confident and to sound like a broken record, I'm really happy about the result.
