– Mary Von Derheid burns to death in Lew. Kelly’s house on Nassau Avenue in Freeport
– Kelly is her son in law a popular burlesque dancer
– Clarence E Jones arrives at the scene first and although makes determined attempts to save her, she passes away the next day at the hospital
