Residents vote to change name from Raynor Town, Raynor South and South Hempstead to Freeport

The western border between Freeport and Milburn runs along the middle of Coe’s Neck Road (Bayview Avenue) and then to the west of Benedict’s Poor House and farm by Fulton Street (Merrick Road) where a tidal stream, spanning from Milburn Creek separates Benedict’s property from Tredwell’s to the west.
