This lab taught me the basics of programs such as Adobe Animate and Adobe Premier. I also learned that by tracing over already written letters it will give them movement which I found very cool. These can be useful tools that I may use later in life whether for classes, videos for family and friends’ special days (weddings, bridal showers, etc), and even future jobs. It was easy to come up with my idea, shoot my pictures and videos over the last few weeks and get them all on my computer. I also found it easy to use garage band and make up a fun sound to match my video once the program began to work. It was challenging to get all the videos, pictures, motion graphics, and Garage Band sound into Premier and edit it all together to flow well. I think my submission could be improved with more skills and knowledge of the programs as well as learning better angles for shooting videos in a horizontal view rather than vertically. For the next class, I think more background on the basics for editing in premier would be helpful. I could use this knowledge to make informational videos for future class and work assignments. This semester while in quarantine I often had to use IMovie to edit and submit practical videos and Premier seems like a much better editing platform so maybe in the future, I can use it for an assignment like this. Watching sunsets has also been a passion of mine that I enjoy doing especially in the warmer weather. I was also inspired to blur the sides of the vertical videos/pictures by various premier tutorials I found, this helped the video to flow better and look more professional.
