1. What did you learn?

One thing that I learned, was that I really enjoy doing these types of projects. I like creating content and putting everything together. It was neat taking pictures and videos, making an intro and a song, and then putting it all together. I really enjoyed it.

2. What was easy?

One thing that I thought was easy was coming up with what I wanted the project to be about. When I read the directions for the project, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The project was very interesting and allowed me to put my creativity to work.

3. What was challenging?

One thing that I thought was challenging was matching the song to what I wanted in my head. There weren’t many options that I liked on Garage Band, but I am also not musically gifted and didn’t know how to make my own song. I eventually was able to create a song of what I pictured in my head from what was already on Garage Band.

4. How could your submission be improved?

One way that I think my submission could be improved is by maybe adding a few more clips to make it longer. I was satisfied with my project and how it turned out, but I do think some other people may think it is a little short.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

I don’t think there is anything that needs to be improved. Every class was very helpful because of the demonstrations and critiques, along with the instructions given to us.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I might use this project and the knowledge I gained from it in the future because I really enjoyed it. I liked coming up with the video and putting it all together.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

One thing that inspired me was the professors emotion he did and how he made it shake. I really liked it and wanted to incorporate the shaking into my emotion into too.

1. What did you learn?

One thing I learned was how to create things from gaming software. I thought it was very interesting seeing how people create things like video games and video game characters. I only created things on Blender, but Maya looked very interesting to use also.

2. What was easy?

I thought this project was a little bit more difficult than the past ones. One thing that I did think was easy was coming up with ideas to create. I liked the idea of coming up with certain chess pieces.

3. What was challenging?

The main thing that I thought was challenging was actually creating the actual gaming piece. I was using Blender and there wasn’t as many detailed clips or directions to follow for this project so I struggled.

4. How could your submission be improved?

My submission could be improved by spending a little more time on it. I like the idea behind my chess piece, but I suppose I could have designed something a little more creative.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

One thing that I think the professor could improve for the next assignment is maybe creating some more detailed instructions for people using Blender. Other than that I really enjoyed the project.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I really enjoyed this project, so this could potentially benefit me if I wanted to pursue a career in something like video game design.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

The professor gave us an example of a chess piece that someone created and this helped to inspire me with my chess piece. I am glad that we were given an example or I don’t think it would’ve been as easy.

1. What did you learn?

One thing that I learned about was vector graphics. I did not know that certain images were vector graphics and some were not. I thought it was very interesting that you could zoom in on a vector graphic and it would never become blurry. Another thing I learned was how to use Adobe Illustrator. By learning how to use this I am now able to create different things just like we did with the business card.

2. What was easy?

One thing that I thought was easy was creating the business card itself. Once I figured out what I wanted to do and add to the card, I thought it was easy to set it up and actually create it.

3. What was challenging?

One thing that I thought was challenging was creating my logo name. At first I wasn’t even sure what I wanted to use in it and then once I finally decided what initials to use, I found it challenging to come up with how to place them together. I also wasn’t sure what font I should use in order to make it look good.

4. How could your submission be improved?

I think one thing that I could do to improve my business card is maybe add some more details. Not so many that it is too crazy, but right now it is kind of plain and not that interesting.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

I know I said this on my last project’s blog post, but I don’t think there is really anything that needs to improved. It was a fun and interesting project that I was able to follow along with well during class.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

This project may help me with my work or business down the road. I now am able to create things like business cards for wherever I work or whatever I do. I can also use vector graphics for things such as advertisements too.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

One thing that helped me during this project was the project pdf. that had step by step directions. I liked watching the class videos and following along, but sometimes I wouldn’t be able to keep up and would get lost. I was able to rely on this pdf. if I wasn’t sure about something or if I didn’t know how to do something.

I am still having printer issues, so as soon as I fix it and print my card, I will upload the photos of it.

1. What did you learn?

I learned that through photoshop you can do many different things. I always thought that photoshop was something you used to edit pictures and through this project I learned that you can do so much more than just edit. You are able to actually create your own images and change others too.

2. What was easy?

One of the things that I thought was easy, was removing the background of images so that you could use just what you wanted of them. Photoshop gives you the tools to remove whatever you want from the image. Sometimes the tool wasn’t always perfect but I found it very easy to fix the images how you wanted.

3. What was challenging?

One of the things that I found most challenging was typing on a path. It wasn’t easy to make the path exactly how I wanted it. Another thing that I found difficult was making sure that everything was lined up perfectly and neat. I like to make sure everything is in line with each other, and I found it difficult to do this when it wouldn’t allow me to sometimes.

4. How could your submission be improved?

I think my submission could be improved by maybe adding a little bit more color to the backgrounds. There is a lot of white on my card, but I like it and think it looks good that way.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

I don’t think there really needs improvement. Everything was fairly easy and fun to do. It is very nice being able to follow along in class step by step.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

This project allowed me to learn many new techniques on photoshop that I didn’t know before. Now that I know how to use and do these different things, I think I will be able to use it as a tool in future projects.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

All of the videos were very helpful. One that was the most helpful to me was the first day of class that we started the project. It allowed me to get a basis for the project and start creating ideas of what I want to do.
