What did I learn ? I learned more about gestalt principals and how to convey groups, as well as make a more aesthetically pleasing product.

What was easy? what was challenging ? working with Figma in general always is is nice because things work they way they’re supposed to. the struggles I had were more creative struggles , a lot of times on this project I would execute an idea i had in my head and then on paper it would look like garbage. I struggled with working with the primitive shapes, it was hard for me to feel like I nailed any of the blocks because of it.

How could it be improved? I feel as if some of my blocks didn’t have a lot going on. I could’ve used more figures or introduced more principals. Just overall too simplistic.

How could the professor improve this project ? I did overall enjoy this project. the only suggestion i have is maybe let students use one color besides white of their choice instead of black.

How can I apply this knowledge to future projects ? This project has a lot of good things i will happily take with me to my next projects. the gestalt principals give you a good starting point for many different designs. I did also feel creating with simple figures will be a tool that will help me going forward.

what specific readings inspired me? I didn’t really feel any major inspiration from any of the readings as they were more informative than design help.
