Project 2: Business Card

1. What did you learn?

I learned how to market myself in a simple and appealing way via creating a business card with a logo.

2. What was easy?

Implementing the logo and text onto the card was very straightforward.

3. What was challenging?

I found it difficult to alter the letters of my initials in a way that looked appealing and creative. I initially struggled with making the letters combine to properly create my logo. I also found it challenging to implement the blue background on the right side of my card without it making the text disappear.

4. How could your submission be improved?

I could have added something to my logo to make it look more complex. I could’ve possibly given it an outer layer or made it hollow.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

I would’ve liked to maybe see more of a balance between the time we spent working on the logo and the time spent working on the card.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I now know for future assignment or work scenarios that my work should have a nice balance between simplicity and complexity. It shouldn’t be too simple to where it looks lazy, but also not to complex to where it’s difficult to read or understand.

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

I didn’t get help from any reading or video, but the monogram examples shown in class, specifically Tiger Woods’s logo, helped me come up with the idea for my logo. I chose to do a similar style of combining the letters.
