I really enjoyed this project. I love playing games as I know many people do, but this allowed me to gain some knowledge as to what goes into making a game. I learned a lot about unit and how it runs. I learned how to import different asset packages to enhance your project. I also learned how too many trees can slow down your project from running, as well as how drastically it does so. I thought it was easy to have motivation to do this project. It was easy to create the terrain and add your own aspect to it through the height of the mountains to the style of ground used to walk on. I thought it was challenging to get the coin to work. I tried to get it to work for probably about 1-2 hours and I still haven’t been able to do so. There are so many steps that seem to work sometimes and not others and that was hard for me. I also thought it was challenging to save the project as I am submitting it later than the normal date because I saved it but not the correct way, so I can submit my project yet. To improve this assignment, the professor could dedicate one more day if possible to explain the coin in depth and then walk around the rest of the class because I had a problem with the coin but I could never ask because so many people needed help and I didn’t get around to. I can apply this knowledge to my future by using the creativity I broadened with life. Creativity is a huge thing to be able to do so having good creativity skills is helpful in all aspects of life especially with careers. The article that helped me most for this specific project was https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/02/style/fortnite.html because it talked about how people love watching others play video games and how big of a thing it is through games like fortnite. This inspired me to make a better game because it seemed as something to strive for. I wish I could have made the character move faster though because it talks a while to create the maze and wit the huge maze and slow person, it was boring after the first time.
