What was easy?: Capturing footage was easy. I decided to film everything and anything, this gave me options to use in my video.

What was challenging?: Editing the film on Adobe Premiere was difficult because there is so much going on within the software. Making the animations was difficult, too, because it is so meticulous.

How could your submission be improved?: I could have done a better job at editing. Maybe some more interesting transitions and shots would have helped. However, my emotion was “relaxed” so if you put too much in the video, it will not feel relaxed.

How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?: Maybe slowing down the tutorials and walk-throughs would help. There is a lot to learn on these programs.

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?: Being able to create and edit videos will help me in my career, as I am an IMC major and it is not too far out there to think knowing how to use these programs would excel me forward.

How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?: Reading the class instructions on how to create the video helped.

What was easy?: Painting the terrain was easy because it was all in a downloadable package.

What was challenging?: Getting used to the software and controls to move around in Maya and Unity.

How could your submission be improved?: I could have done a better job and putting the “player” in the game. He’s slightly off the environment.

How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?: Spring Break and a cancelled class for tech difficulties sort of made the lectures difficult.

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?: Being able to create and design a game/3D model could be a way to give me a leg-up in my Marketing/Communications field because it is apart of graphic design.

How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?: Reading the class instructions on how to create the game helped a lot.

What did you learn?: I learned about creating a successful website and the importance of making it visually appealing.

What was easy?: Adding my resume was easy because I already had it written, I just needed to copy and paste it over to my website.

What was challenging?: Creating the monogram was hard because the letter “C” is hard to incorporate into a design. I think I made a good monogram, though. The “C” is connected to the “M”, but if you don’t realize it, the “C” looks like its just a fancy swirl on the “M”.

How could your submission be improved?: I could have added some more “fun” to it. I feel like a little it’s dull, but I like the professionalism of it.

How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?: I have no complaints, I think the professor did a good job at teaching this assignment.

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?: Being able to create and design a website will help me in the future because graphic design is a major key in media-centric careers.

How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?: Reading about the importance of color schemes and minimalism helped me ensure the greens all complemented each other and everything was easy to read. I was able to let loose a little and be casual on the “About” page to show some more of myself.
