What did you learn? I learned how to make a physical small box. It was really easy to make and design. I made a blind box and also used the 3D printer for the first time to make the little figurine.
What was easy? It was easy to find an aesthetic for my box and the audience I wanted to reach. I went for a Sanrio blind box
What was challenging? It was challenging to assemble the little box, even with tape it was hard.
How could your submission be improved? Making another design for the box and another figurine
How could I improve the assignment for the next class? Make more examples of small boxes
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? By looking up japanese stores that sold blind boxes I was inspired by their design

What did you learn? I learned how to make a dialect learning app. And edit/add videos on figma
What was easy? It was easy to create the layout of the app
What was challenging? It was challenging to edit the video and trying to come up with AR inspired themes
How could your submission be improved? By making another ineractive mini game on the app

What did you learn? I learned how to make a physical album, I was really excited for this project because I collect a lot of them and this is what I want to dedicate myself to
What was easy? It was easy to find an aesthetic for my album. I went for the Y2K aesthetic and incorporated different elements from that era. I wanted to make it the most aesthetically pleasing as possible
What was challenging? It was challenging to keep make the measures for the album and to cut every paper. I made 8 pages and it was a little stressful
How could your submission be improved? Making the pages more large and cutting it properly
How could I improve the assignment for the next class? Nothing, the professor was very helpful the whole time, he helped me with the measures
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? This will help me a lot in the future because is what I want to do. I hope to look back on this project in a few years and beproud of me.

What did you learn? I learned how the basics of building a website, especially coding
What was easy? It was easy to do the layout of the website on figma
What was challenging? It was challenging to make everything work, and coding was a little hard too. I had to re create my actual website many times to make it look like my figma file
How could your submission be improved? It could be improved by making the main page a little more colorful in the actual website, but I liked how simple it looked
How could I improve the assignment for the next class? By making more specific videos of specific problems that people had with the coding and folders
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? I could apply this web design knowledge by creating pages like this in the future or helping create the interface of a website

What did you learn? I learned how to make prototypes in Figma and the basics of building a website, especially how to make buttons
What was easy? It was easy to find an aesthetic for my ToDo app. I wanted to add a different element which was a little character guiding you through the app, and helping you get started. I based the aesthetic of the page on the character’s colors.
What was challenging? It was challenging to keep track of the prototypes in Figma and make some buttons. Also to make sure everything was grammatically correct
How could your submission be improved? It could be improved by making the main page a little more colorful like the “getting started pages”
How could I improve the assignment for the next class? I could improve it by looking at the videos with more attention because I had trouble making the buttons and prototypes
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? I could apply this web design knowledge by creating pages like this in the future and finding different aesthetics for different types of pages or apps
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? Looking through the past student’s examples helped me with the creation of the web pages. It was a little hard to come up with one that solved a specific problem

What did you learn? I learned how to design bleeds and die strikes, the components of a menu, and the correct color scheme

What was easy? It was easy to find the appropriate fonts that I wanted for the menu and to design the structure of it. Also to create the new logo

What was hard? It was hard to type each category and make it look straight, to make the contents fit in each square like the menus and prices, to proofread everything and add some of the images to fit nicely

How could your submission be improved? It could be improved by making the text smaller and having more space for the letters

How could the professor improve the assignment? Making separate videos for space and letter spacing

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? By print design, I have learned how to fold and mock up printed projects. Also It can help me because I want to go into the print design path

1. What did you learn?

I learned how to make each color scheme fit with the pictures that were used

2. What was easy?

It was easy to find color schemes for each picture and play around with the filters

It was challenging to try and find different grids for the pictures and position of the text, etc

By editing the pictures more thoroughly

Showing more ways to position pictures and edit them

This assignment is helpful could help me in the future by understanding how to use different color schemes to make a full picture or logo, and make it look neat

by looking at different logos and fonts, I got inspired to make it look simple

What did you learn? I learned how to combine different fonts together and how to organize letters in different ways

What was easy? It was easy to find two fonts that fitted well together and trying to make them fit into each frame

What was challenging? It was challenging to find different ways to organize the letters and not leaving blank spaces

How could I improve the assignment for next class? Trying to find more ways to organize the letters and not making it all straight

How will you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? By learning typography, I can apply this knowledge in designing different products for brands

How did a specific reading or video inspired you? By googling different typofraphy images, I had an idea on how to organize the letters in different ways and not make it repetitive.

What did you learn? I learned how to combine images in photoshop and use masks

What was easy? It was easy to illustrate my idea and find the images

What was challenging? It was hard to learn how to mask images and make them seem realistic, but since is our first project using Photoshop, I think it went pretty well

How could I improve the assignment for the next class? It could be improved by adding more images although I think it doesn’t look that empty

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? Learning how to use Photoshop efficiently can help me in the graphic design field, I hope I can learn how to use it professionally.

What did you learn? I learned how to use different color palettes and schemes and apply them to create a landscape.

What was easy? It was easy to find a color scheme for each landscape, for the desert, there are warm colors, and for the city, cold colors

What was challenging? It was hard to draw certain figures like the animals, I didn’t want to make them seem that simple so I spent a lot of time trying to put the figures together and making nice shapes

How could I improve the assignment for the next class? It could be improved by adding more figures

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? I could apply it because now I know how are different color schemes used, how to describe a physical environment with color, and how to apply the color palette and Gestalt principles
