Lauren Schifley Halloween Card

Through this project I learned that layer masks are a lot more useful and helpful than I previously thought. I thought that making the card was easy because I have experience in Photoshop already. The printing and mounting process was challenging for me because the printer gave me some trouble and I am AWFUL at cutting straight lines. My hard copy could be better because there is some white showing on the front cover. Also, I could have added more graphic elements to make the card more interesting. I would suggest possibly doing the project in Illustrator instead of Photoshop (or possibly using both). I understand why we did the project in Photoshop and I will admit that I am partial to Illustrator in general. Going forward I will give myself more time to go through the printing process and I will work on getting better at the Photoshop pen tool. I got the whole concept from looking at dogs in Halloween costumes on Google while I was procrastinating on homework from my other classes. Also, during one of the demonstrations in class, Professor Dunkle talked about what makes a good background, which caused me to change from the busy background that I previously had. This was a huge improvement and really brought the card together.
