]]> Through this project I learned that coding, although it is a pain, can be very rewarding. I also learned that coding is not something that you can just naturally be good at, but rather it is something that you have to work at. I think that coding is very frustrating and difficult at times. I chose to add a picture slideshow to my website, which was a lot more work than I thought that it would be. It got to a point where I had to ask Tyler for help, which is something that I don’t do often. I could improve this website by designing a separate mobile version and/or adding more graphic elements. I would suggest possibly allowing students to do their own project from scratch so that they know what each element does and how they can change it. There were several times that I wanted to change something but did not want to mess with the overall layout of the website. Having students start with nothing would allow for more creativity in their websites. Going forward I will experiment more with color and layout and learn how to ask for help when I need it. I got the idea for the slideshow when I thought about adding more pictures to my site and adding an interesting, different element. Also, I got the idea for the color scheme from the website that Professor Dunkle showed us called “Coolors”. I have included here screenshots for every part of my website as well as a link to it.
