As a preface, this video shows a rock in New York City often referred to as “C Rock”. People actually jump off of this rock and the jumps vary anywhere from 15 feet to 110 feet. Although I have jumped off of this rock, I have not jumped anywhere past 55 feet. With that being said, cliff jumping is an adrenaline rush for me as it should be for anyone else that does it. That is why I have referred to my project as an adrenaline rush. By including audio such as boarding the train from my local train station, audio from jumping off of the cliff and including the song “Jungle”, I was conveying this adrenaline rush quite like a book. I was able to manipulate the audio and include key photos that conveyed the exposition, rising action and climax of what cliff jumping off of C Rock is like. I enjoyed every part of making this project and did not dislike this process at all. Although the article in the New York Times talked about “If the prices of traditional media keep falling, then it seems logical to critics that we will end up in a world in which no one has an economic incentive to follow creative passions”, I thought of a line that was used earlier and reflected on it differently. When the article talked about “the countless hours of YouTube videos your kids watch each week” I thought about how I too was one of these kids addicted to YouTube. This is because of how long and strung out videos are in order to convey a certain emotion for the viewer. Instead of wasting people’s time, I thought by making this project, I would not only give viewers an adrenaline rush but not waste their time.

• What did you learn?

I learned how to make a website modifying actual code instead of dragging and dropping elements like I have used before with Weebly.com.

• What was easy?

The easy part was including my information into the website. I used my resume as a guide and plugged the appropriate information into the website.

• What was challenging?

The challenging part was including the logo. In fact, I am still having difficulty figuring that out.

• How could your submission be improved?

It could improve by having my own logo.

• How could I improve the assignment for the next class?

By including my logo.

• How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I believe that experience is the best way to learn. Because of this project being assigned to my peers and I, I am a lot more comfortable performing this task as opposed to if I just watched someone do it for me.

• How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

It was not a specific reading or video but I saw a unique billboard while I was driving that inspired me to make my own logo similar to that.

• What did you learn?

I learned how to combine all of what I have learned all into one project. Another thing that I learned in a previous class and finally applied it to my project was writing along the line.

• What was easy?

Nothing was easy, this is my first time with Adobe Photoshop so it is all very new material to me.

• What was challenging?

Everything was challenging, this is my first real project with Adobe Photoshop. However, as I started to get more in-depth with this project I started to become a lot more comfortable messing around with Photoshop.

• How could your submission be improved?

I think I can learn how to make stars via the shaping tool. I am not sure how to do that so I would definitely want to learn that and apply it to my project.

• How could I improve the assignment for the next class?

I can learn how to make stars in addition to cleaning up the happy new years section of my card.

• How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I can apply writing along a pen line to make my texts pop out more and make my card look visibly pleasing.

• How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

I was not inspired by a specific reading or video but the video that you posted for the class that we didn’t meet helped me significantly with Photoshop. After watching the video, it became second nature to me.
