- What did you learn?
I learned how to create an appealing and fun website that is able to showcase my abilities.
- What was easy?
Coming up with the color scheme was very easy for me as I had the idea of mainly blue. I slapped a gradient onto the header, thought it looked good, then used a color scheme of black, blue, and white throughout the project.
- What was challenging?
Coming up with how the website should look. I had the feel down first because of the color scheme. I wanted to go for a cool and exciting look because of this. I think I ended up doing a good job.
- How could your submission be improved?
I guess it could be more detailed. It’s a little simple. I had some other ideas such as a header that would have a slime like droop down effect, but I wasn’t sure how to implement it without changing the entire feel and design of the project.
- How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
There’s not much to improve upon. It was laid out perfectly with a lab right before the actual project. The only thing I find odd is the code pen lab. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t in attendance for that lab, but it seemed unrelated to the project itself.
- How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Try to apply more fancy design techniques and work with minimal colors. The less colors you have on a project the more atmospheric it can be. Color scheme is great to play around with and it can make the viewer feel differently depending on color.
